County Cricketer Joins MOCCC | New 4th XI in LOC 2

Dear All,

Marcellin OCCC is pleased to announce that Northants County cricketer, Graeme White has agreed to play for the Marcellin Old Collegians Cricket Club in 2015/16

28 year old Graeme has played for both Northants and Nottinghamshire in his county cricket career in addition to representing England at U19 level. Graeme will bring a level of experience and professionalism to the club and we couldn’t be happier to announce his involvement in the 2015/16 campaign. Graeme is an Orthodox Left Arm spinner and big hitting batsman who has enjoyed much success particulary in the 20/20 format. In his 29 first class career matches, Graeme has taken 42 wickets. He also has two first class 50’s to his name. His most recent first class game was on the 8th of July where he represented Northants v Gloucestershire. Graeme is looking forward to his trip down under and is travelling his partner Lindsay. They are both excited about the trip and are looking forward to seeing the best of Melbourne over the summer. Check out more about Graeme, here.

In further exciting news, we have re-entered the LOC (Limited Overs Competition) in the ECA. We have a group of 15 players who have formed a team to represent the club in the LOC 2 competition this season. Marcellin has enjoyed great success in this format with Chris Wall’s squad wining three successive Grand Finals. We wish the new team the same success!

We are now working hard on finalising our senior roster for the summer and are in discussions with the College to establish an U14 team in the Friday night ECA competition. If you know any young players in this age group looking for a game of cricket please contact the club.

Finally, we are in negotiations with new sponsors for the season and again ask that if you know of any businesses looking to partner with a local sports team we would love the chance to speak with them.
