An eye opener for the Eagles before the Finals.

Marcellin won the toss against Sunrise and elected to bat first. Keyur and James provided us a brisk start with Keyur scoring 35 and James retiring not out after scoring a fifty in his first match of the season. This was then followed by some quick runs from Mohit and Dev in the middle order with scores of 47 and 42 respectively. Some quick runs by Meet at the end gave Marcellin a total of 223 to defend.

Even after losing the first wicket early, Sunrise got off to a flying start scoring at a rate of more than 7.5 an over in the first 10 overs. Marcellin fought back with wickets at regular intervals but the Sunrise batsmen bounced back every time with quick runs and had put Marcellin under constant pressure. With 50 runs to chase in the last 10 overs and 2 wickets in hand, Marcellin had a good chance to pull the curtains on Sunrise but the 9th wicket partnership for Sunrise proved pivotal and got them across the line in a brilliant chase.
