The ones headed away for the second game in a row to take on bottom of the ladder side, La Trobe. After winning the toss, the ones decided to have a bat on a deck that looked like it would do a bit in the first hour. Instead it did a bit all day and the ones were rolled for their lowest score of the year, 151. Harding and Burt put up a fight through the opening and middle overs but it was the partnership at the end between Chub and Dally that saw Marcellin limp over to 151.
With 25 overs to bowl on day one, Marcellin came out firing. 5/34 off 25 was the end of the day score. A great fight back after failing with the bat.
The second week started where the first week ended. A wicket in the first over from Dally then wickets fell regularly. La Trobe were bowled out for 50 in 42nd over. Borts had no hesitation in sending La Trobe back in and straight away the wickets started to fall again. 4/15 at tea, all out for 51. A great outright win after having our worst performance of the year with the bat. The win takes us 2 and a bit games clear on top.
